New construction and major renovations are planned at Mohawk College’s Fennell Campus to serve students better and deliver an even greater college experience.

Mohawk is investing $30 million on an 18-month Fennell Campus renewal project, one of the largest renovation project in the college’s 42-year history.

Construction begins this month on a 3-level, $14.5 million building next to A-Wing.  A LEED gold certified building, the Centre will also serve as the new front entrance to the campus.

Major renovations worth $15.5 million will create a new Centre for Student Services in the current library at the Fennell Campus and redesign where students learn, study and meet throughout the campus by 2011.

The Fennell Campus renewal project is generously supported by a $20 million infrastructure grant from the Government of Ontario and a $4 million donation from the late Harold Cummings, the largest private donation in Mohawk’s history.
